HISTORY

My love of collies started when I was a child. I always had a sable rough as a companion; a best friend who was there through the ups and downs of childhood. When I had the thought, "Hey showing dogs looks like fun", I knew what breed I would get . . . . .
a collie.

I bought my first show dog in early 1996. She was an adorable 12 week old blue rough bitch that I named Cynder. Despite my handling errors she became Champion Marko's Outta The Blue when I finished her with back-to-back majors in February 1999.

 I attended my first National in 2000 and was overwhelmed with the number of beautiful dogs exhibited. At this National I became smitten with one in particular, a smooth, and after being in the breed for almost 5 years I took the leap and the first Cyndella litter was whelped in December 2000. This litter marked the beginning of an appreciation, and love, for the smooth variety.

To date we have bred fifteen champions (May 2008), one Canadian champion and finished three dogs not of our breeding but owned by Cyndella. We've also had five dogs complete their championship exclusively from the bred-by class, earning them the AKC Bred-By-Exhibitor medallion.

We have in-bred on one of the greatest smooth dogs of our time, 2X Collie Club of America Best of Variety Winner, Champion Keepsake Telesis ROM, OFA, and are now blending with the well-respected family of Lisara.

Our future looks bright . . . . .
